Floor Remarks – Aircraft Log Requirements (SB 110)
This reform bill puts into law the sort of accountability
measure that taxpayers believe should be standard across state government. It
details the information about the use of state aircraft that must be compiled
and accessible. This will help ensure that the use of a state plane is in line
with what is legal, ethical, and fiscally responsible. This approach is based
on recommendations that arose from an audit report by the state Auditor
General. The bill reflects the public interest, and deserves our support.
