5/20/08-Sen. Regola spoke at the press conference unveiling the Senate Republican Caucus Tax Stimulus Package. Sen. Regola has introduced SB 1386 which would allow more working Pennsylvanians to be exempt from paying the state Personal Income Tax (PIT). Currently a family of four earning $32,000 is exempt. Under SB 1386, a family of four earning $37,000 would be exempt.

Senator Regola presented a copy of his Local Government Week Resolution to Fred Reddig (Executive Director of the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services) and Ken Klothen (Deputy Secretary for Community Affairs and Development in the Department of Community and Economic Development).

The Senate Local Government and Urban Affairs & Housing Committees, chaired by Senators Bob Regola and John Pippy respectively, held a public hearing in Greensburg focusing on “Multi-Municipal Planning and Share Services” amongst local governments.
