Regola: Senate Honors
Entrepreneurial Spirit In PA Today, the Senate unanimously adopted a resolution introduced by Senator Bob Regola (R-39) designating the week of April 23rd through 30th as “Small Business Development Centers’ Entrepreneurs Week” in Pennsylvania. “Our Commonwealth is full of hard working small business entrepreneurs, who play a vital role in their communities, who create two-thirds of the new jobs generated each year in the United States, and who compete in a global economy,” Senator Regola said. “Through the efforts of our 18 university-based Small Business Development Centers, which includes Saint Vincent College, Pennsylvania has actively supported entrepreneurs in their efforts.” First established in 1980, Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) provide entrepreneurs with the education, information and tools necessary to build successful businesses. SBDC’s have helped start-up more than 22,000 new businesses in Pennsylvania, creating more than 98,800 jobs, and generating more than $738 million in new tax revenues. Pennsylvania’s SBDCs are located at Bucknell University, Clarion University, Duquesne University, Gannon University, Indiana University, Kutztown University, Lehigh University, Lock Haven University, Pennsylvania State University, Saint Francis University, Saint Vincent College, Shippensburg University, Temple University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Scranton, Wharton School, Widener University, and Wilkes University. ### Contact: Nate Silcox (717) 787-6063 |
